About The Position

At Capgemini, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative technology solutions that drive business value and enhance client experiences. You will contribute to the design, development, and continuous improvement of scalable, high-quality solutions in a dynamic and collaborative environment. We are looking for a highly skilled Java Platform Engineer with strong expertise in modern Java development, platform engineering, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies. The ideal candidate should have experience building reusable frameworks, scalable services, and event-driven solutions for enterprise environments.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience with Java 17+/21+ and Spring Boot (3.x preferred).
  • Strong background in building shared frameworks, reusable components, and platform services, beyond traditional application development.
  • Extensive experience designing and developing REST APIs and working with OpenAPI standards/specifications.
  • Proven experience implementing event-driven architectures using Kafka.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems and related design patterns, including: Resilience and fault tolerance, Retry mechanisms, Circuit breakers, High-availability architectures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating with legacy enterprise systems, including z/OS, Mainframe platforms, CIS systems.
  • Exposure to Redis, Kafka, and Oracle in large-scale, high-throughput environments.
  • Strong understanding of application security, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Secrets management.
  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and standardized build frameworks using Gradle, Jenkins, GitLab.
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms: Kubernetes, OpenShift.
  • Experience working with cloud environments, with Microsoft Azure preferred.
