About The Position

Matrix Systems and Technology, Inc. (MSTi) seeks a Senior Java Full Stack Software Engineer to design, develop, test, maintain, and support applications spanning web interfaces, Java services, APIs, and databases. The role includes supporting deployment and troubleshooting in AWS environments, contributing to technical decisions, and collaborating with requirements, testing, and delivery teams. Candidates must have a current Public Trust; IRS experience with a current MBI clearance is preferred.

Requirements

• Eight or more years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Hands-on Java full stack development experience, including front-end web technologies and backend services.
• Exposure to AWS, MongoDB, and Amazon Aurora/RDS.
• Experience with API integration, database access, and application troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions and collaborate with a delivery team.
• A current Public Trust.

Nice To Haves

• IRS experience.
• Current MBI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java full stack applications and APIs.
• Develop web interfaces and backend services and integrate application components.
• Work with MongoDB and relational databases, including Amazon Aurora/RDS.
• Support application deployment and troubleshooting in AWS environments.
• Review code, guide technical decisions, and mentor other engineers.
• Collaborate with requirements, testing, and delivery teams to resolve issues.
