About The Position

Wipro is seeking an experienced Java Engineer with expertise in search technologies and big data. The role involves building scalable Java and Spring Boot backend applications, developing search solutions, and processing large volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. The engineer will develop REST APIs and microservices, build data pipelines, and work with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and data-storage platforms. The role also includes gathering and documenting requirements, contributing to module-level solution designs under the guidance of the Project Manager, reviewing code, resolving team technical queries, and collaborating with project managers throughout the software development life cycle. The engineer will troubleshoot recurring issues, modify software to fix errors and improve performance, support integrations and deployments, and prepare user-training documentation to facilitate adoption. The expected compensation ranges from $80,000 to $160,000. Final compensation depends on factors including location, minimum-wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience. The role is eligible for Wipro's standard benefits, including medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (including sick leave), and other paid and unpaid leave options. Some roles may require successful completion of a post-offer drug screening, subject to applicable state law.
