About The Position

This role is for a Senior Java Developer focused on architecting microservices with Spring Boot and Kafka on Red Hat OpenShift. The consultant will deploy, manage, and scale Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters. They will also configure, manage, and monitor containerized applications running on Kubernetes or OpenShift, balancing new development with critical maintenance and testing responsibilities. The contract is for 8 months with a high likelihood of extension.

Requirements

• 8+ years Java/JEE microservices development with Spring REST and Spring Boot
• 4+ years integrating KAFKA for Event Driven Workflows
• 2 years of KAFKA Administration
• 1 year using AI Tools such as Claude Code
• 4 years working with Red Hat OpenShift Container platform
• 4 years developing automated unit tests with JUnit
• 4 years using Eclipse or Spring Tool Suite or JBoss studio
• 3+ years Github, JIRA
• 2+ years Oracle Exadata
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien with three or more years of U.S. residency as a Permanent Resident Alien.
