Java Spring Boot Microservices Developer
About The Position
As a Technology Consultant 2 in Infosys’s Communications, Media, and Technology unit, you will contribute to digital transformation projects for clients in telecommunications, media, and technology. You will participate across the software development lifecycle, from requirements elicitation and application design through coding, testing, deployment support, and production issue resolution. The role includes developing and maintaining scalable Java microservices with Spring Boot and RESTful APIs, along with cloud and front-end development work as applicable. You will collaborate with technical and cross-functional teams, document decisions and activities, and help ensure stable, high-quality software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution; three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
- Experience with the AWS cloud platform, including EKS, Docker, SQS, and EC2.
- Ability to handle software development lifecycle phases from requirements gathering through implementation.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
- Hands-on coding experience and interest in software design.
- Analytical, oral, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-learning ability and effective time management.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-based visa sponsorship; Infosys cannot provide immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
- The position may require relocation and/or travel to the work or project location.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Oracle Database.
- Experience with AI-based code development.
- Experience building front-end applications with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities
- Document assigned portions of business requirements in support of requirements elicitation.
- Facilitate application design discussions and document design decisions for the technical team.
- Code and integrate features or updates into existing applications while maintaining system stability.
- Conduct code reviews, make changes to the codebase, and maintain code repositories.
- Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards.
- Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks for transitions to new applications.
- Help resolve production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability.
- Maintain records of code, testing techniques, and support activities for the knowledge base and other projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java microservices using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
- Build modern, responsive front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Use CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
