About The Position
We are urgently hiring a Senior Java Backend Developer with extensive experience in AWS. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining high-volume, mission-critical applications, particularly within the banking and financial services sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and a deep understanding of cloud-native architecture on AWS. This is an onsite position in Atlanta, GA, requiring local candidates with a proven track record in financial applications.
Requirements
- 10+ years of IT experience.
- Recent Banking/Financial Services experience is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with Payments, Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Core Banking, Lending, Digital Banking, or Treasury applications.
- Experience building secure, high-volume, mission-critical applications.
- Java 8/11/17 proficiency.
- Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Microservices expertise.
- Extensive AWS experience (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway, SQS/SNS).
- Experience with REST APIs & Enterprise Microservices.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB/DynamoDB.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle, CI/CD.
- Experience in Application Performance Tuning, Security & Cloud-Native Architecture.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
- Design and implement solutions on AWS, leveraging services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, API Gateway, and SQS/SNS.
- Build secure, high-volume, mission-critical applications.
- Work with messaging queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Manage and interact with various databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB/DynamoDB.
- Utilize containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle.
- Perform application performance tuning and ensure application security.
- Apply cloud-native architecture principles.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and manage communication effectively.
- Work within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
