Senior Java Back-end Engineer
About The Position
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Back-end Engineer with a strong background in designing and developing highly available, distributed, and scalable enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, MicroServices architecture, and database technologies like MongoDB and Redis. This role also requires hands-on experience with AWS deployments, EKS cluster management, CI/CD pipelines, and performance tuning. A self-starter with strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills is essential for collaborating with both technical and non-technical teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience with Java
- 5+ years of experience with MongoDB
- Hands-on experience with AI tools like RooCode and Claude
- Hands-on experience with SpringBoot, Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, and MicroServices architecture
- Hands-on experience with AWS deployments, scaling and EKS cluster management
- Hands-on experience with GIT, PR process, CI/CD Pipelines and deployments
- Experience and strong knowledge in developing high throughput, high performance, and zero downtime systems
- Experience in performance tuning of the applications including JVM tuning, memory profiling, deadlocks and heap analysis
- Strong knowledge of customer facing web application development, HTTP specs, Load-balancing and understanding of CDN
- Experience with Java test frameworks such as JUnit and testNG
- Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and frameworks
- Familiarity with template driven rendering and client and server side MVC architectures
- Familiarity with Splunk for investigating or monitoring problems on systems
- Thorough understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, tools and agile methodologies
- Sharp troubleshooting skills and real world systems deployment experience
- Self-starter with strong leadership capabilities
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Design and development of highly available, distributed and scalable enterprise systems.
- Implement solutions using SpringBoot, Redis, MongoDB, Kafka, and MicroServices architecture.
- Manage AWS deployments, scaling, and EKS cluster management.
- Utilize GIT, PR process, CI/CD Pipelines and deployments.
- Develop high throughput, high performance, and zero downtime systems.
- Perform performance tuning of applications including JVM tuning, memory profiling, deadlocks and heap analysis.
- Develop customer-facing web applications, understanding HTTP specs, Load-balancing and CDN.
- Write unit and integration tests using Java test frameworks such as JUnit and testNG.
- Investigate or monitor problems on systems using Splunk.
- Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle using agile methodologies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
- Collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams.
