About The Position

We are seeking a talented Back-End Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with the product team to build applications that enhance user effectiveness. You will contribute to the design and implementation of these solutions, adhering to industry standards and best practices. The position involves developing scalable back-end systems for integration with existing user platforms and supporting the team in managing releases through the engineering process to production.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar
• 5+ years of experience building production quality web-based multi-tier web applications
• Significant experience building restful web services in Java (Spring), Python (Django/Flask/Fast), or Scala(Play)
• Experience integrating with web front-ends with modern JS frameworks like Angular
• Experience building data platform or data analytics web applications
• Experience with SQL in big data environments, writing and analyzing complex queries
• Familiarity with building on Amazon AWS services, and using the AWS console and command line tools
• Experience working in agile scrum methodologies using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) development practices
• Experience writing automated unit, component, and integration tests
• Able to adapt to evolving business priorities and requirements

Nice To Haves

• Experience with data pipelines integrated with Machine Learning models
• Hands on experience with data pipelines and big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Flink, or similar
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar
• Experience using AI throughout the development lifecycle, such as leveraging AI code assistance, spec-driven development, using skills to speed up development workflows

• Working with the product team to build applications that enable our users to be more effective
• Contribute to design and implementation of these solutions leveraging industry standards and best-practices
• Develop scalable back-end systems to integrate with existing user platforms
• Support team in shepherding releases through the engineering process through to production
