Senior Java and Curam Developer

About The Position

This role requires a Senior Java and Curam developer to provide business and systems analysis, modeling, design, and programming for NC FAST application development and maintenance operations using Java, ReactJS, and Curam programming technologies. The developer will work with the NC FAST Food Nutrition Services (FNS) team to design, develop, and maintain code for enhancements based on the backlog of change requests, including fixing defects. The role will support FNS payment error rate reduction efforts, such as evidence automations, Case approvals, and Proactive QC alerts. Additionally, the developer will collaborate with other application development team members, the NC FAST business team, FNS stakeholders, and the agile team for testing. Collaboration with the release team for source control, code build, and release activities is also expected. Strong experience in Java and the IBM Curam framework is necessary to understand, design, and develop underlying rules for FNS and SNAP products, and to develop and support batches, interfaces, and other components for FNS payment error rate reduction efforts.

Requirements

  • Experience developing web applications using J2EE, XML and related tools (7 Years)
  • Cúram V6/7/8 Certified Developer. V8 preferred (7 Years)
  • Social enterprise management experience (7 Years)
  • Experience as a Cúram Developer with experience in the full life cycle of requirements through functional design and testing (7 Years)
  • Experience in development with both the Cúram Enterprise Framework and Cúram Solution Modules (7 Years)
  • Experience in problem identification and integration of technical skills to address and solve issues (7 Years)
  • Experience with translating and communicating highly technical concepts to both technical personnel and non-IT business users (7 Years)
  • Experience with creating and writing technical documents using MS Office products, Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (7 Years)
  • Ability to develop relationships/partnerships with customer by responding to needs and exhibiting a sense of urgency, independently identify options (7 Years)
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures (7 Years)
  • Experience using the Cúram Enterprise Framework Components, Cúram Intelligent Evidence Gathering (IEG2), Cúram Express Rules for Triage (CERT) (5 Years)
  • Technical knowledge in Eclipse, HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, and Web Services standards (SOAP and WSDL) (5 Years)
  • Experience with Oracle database platforms and tools (5 Years)
  • Experience with state government IT Functions (5 Years)
  • Experience using Git, Bitbucket and JIRA (3 Years)
  • Experience with the Curam Web Services (3 Years)
  • Experience in AWS or any Cloud Development (3 Years)
  • Experience in Python programming (3 Years)

Responsibilities

  • Provide business and systems analysis, modeling, design, and programming for NC FAST application development and maintenance operations using Java, ReactJS, and Curam.
  • Design, develop, and maintain code for enhancements based on the backlog of change requests for the NC FAST Food Nutrition Services (FNS) team.
  • Fix defects from the backlog for the FNS team.
  • Support FNS payment error rate reduction related efforts, including evidence automations, Case approvals, and Proactive QC alerts.
  • Develop code based on existing and new requirements, collaborating with other members of the application development team in FNS and other program areas.
  • Collaborate with the NC FAST business team in the FNS area and FNS stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with the release team for source control and code build and release related activities for the FNS area of the code.
  • Understand, design, and develop the underlying rules for the FNS and SNAP products using Java and IBM Curam framework.
  • Develop and support batches for FNS payment error rate reduction efforts, interfaces, and others.
