About The Position
US Tech Solutions is seeking a Senior ITOM Engineer for a 6+ month contract with a high possibility of extension or conversion. The role supports managed infrastructure services for a major automotive manufacturing client and operates within the IT Operations Management practice. The engineer will be the subject matter expert for ITOM reporting operations, responsible for accurate and timely report generation and distribution to stakeholders in a large-scale enterprise infrastructure environment. The position focuses on administration of IBM/Rocket ITOM report management tooling, including Product Admin report setup, configuration, maintenance, and distribution data entry services. The engineer will monitor platform health, troubleshoot reporting and distribution problems, work with infrastructure operations teams to align outputs with SLA and KPI needs, and document and improve reporting processes. The role is fully remote and calls for a senior individual contributor with 5–8 years of relevant hands-on experience.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience with IBM/Rocket ITOM report management tools.
- Demonstrated experience performing Product Admin functions, including report setup, configuration, and maintenance.
- Proven experience with distribution data entry services, including recipient management, routing rules, and delivery validation.
- Experience working in large-scale, multi-client managed services environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT Operations Management frameworks and processes.
- Proficiency in IBM/Rocket ITOM platform administration and configuration.
- Experience with report scheduling, output formatting, and automated distribution pipelines.
- Familiarity with ITSM ticket management workflows and change advisory board processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy in report configuration tasks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with ITIL service management frameworks and best practices.
- Experience with adjacent reporting and scheduling tools such as Control-M or Automic.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms and integration patterns.
- Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or shell for report automation.
- Experience in automotive or manufacturing industry IT environments.
- ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
- IBM Certified Administrator certification in a relevant product line.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the IBM/Rocket ITOM report management platform, including configuration, user access provisioning, and environment health monitoring.
- Set up Product Admin reports by defining parameters, schedules, formats, and output routing.
- Perform distribution data entry services, including accurate recipient mapping and delivery confirmation.
- Troubleshoot report generation failures, distribution errors, and platform performance issues.
- Collaborate with infrastructure operations teams to align reporting outputs with SLA and KPI requirements.
- Document standard operating procedures, runbooks, and knowledge articles for ITOM reporting processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to automate or streamline report setup and distribution workflows.
- Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to junior team members on ITOM tooling best practices.
