About The Position

The Senior Technical Analyst is a key contributor in analyzing and optimizing complex IT systems and investments to align with strategic goals. This role is a blend of technical and leadership to drive innovation, resolve high-impact issues, mentor junior staff and contribute to building an agile IT team and department. Most importantly, ensure systems are secure, efficient, and operate with minimum downtime. Must be proactive in monitoring applications and system performance for reliability and efficiency. This role will require evaluating existing current systems for latent issues, upgrades, patches and configuration gaps. Must maintain the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences with ease. As Senior Technical Analyst you will engage and manage end-to-end project, timelines, budgets, and cross-functional department coordination. Prepare and Deliver progress reports to stakeholders and ensure project activities meet expected business outcomes. Critical to this role is being a collaborative partner across departments and teams. While ensuring project teams and team members adhere to IT security standards, best practices and audit protocols.

Requirements

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or information systems, or a minimum of five years of related or equivalency work experience.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the organization’s core business processes and operations, along with the strategic use of technology to grow a business.
  • Three to five years of relative industry experience, with a demonstrated knowledge of emerging technologies.
  • Understanding of application development and software development life cycle concepts.
  • Ability to understand and communicate/present detailed and advanced business solutions.
  • Ability to communicate up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate level of detail and focus on the right information.
  • Ability to convey industry knowledge in written reports and briefings.
  • Curious about technology, with the ability to quickly grasp and describe key aspects, current status, key players, and potential applications.
  • Ability to meet clear deadlines.
  • Highly articulate and professional, with the ability to communicate with and present to senior executives.
  • Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor junior analysts, fostering skill growth and best practices.
  • Provide training to end users
  • Look for opportunities to leverage existing technology to achieve business unit objectives.
  • Deploy pre-packaged software as needed using automated deployment tools.
  • Deploy system patches and critical vulnerability exposure management on devices and servers.
  • Assist in software releases and rollouts according to change management best practices.
  • Keep abreast of IT developments in the world of hospitality and gaming.
  • Support IT Operations, and end users to define systems goals, identify and resolve systems and various compute issues.
  • Identify and establish IT service request scope and parameters based on achieving successful timely outcomes.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and trends for ways to prevent recurring issues.
  • Alert management to emerging trends in incidents.
  • Participate in the management of operating systems and end-user software.
  • Assist in the management of end-user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations.
  • Participate in the performance of network and security audits.
  • Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance.
  • Create required reports and Knowledge Base Articles in response to IT, department, business, and user needs.
