Join us and help redefine what’s possible as we shape the future of mobility. Sonatus is seeking a highly motivated Senior IT Systems Engineer to architect and scale our global infrastructure. As a key technical lead, you will move beyond traditional support to build a programmatic, automation-first IT environment, with a heavy focus on API-driven integrations and seamless user lifecycle management. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who thrives on connecting disparate systems like our HRIS, IdP, and ERP platforms to create a friction-free, self-service experience for a global workforce. We are looking for a meticulous, "systems-thinking" professional who can balance complex project work with the day-to-day management of our global lab and network operations. You will report to the Manager of IT Systems Administrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related IT technical field is required.
  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in IT systems or operations engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations (Python or similar) and managing global identity stacks
  • Proven track record of automating user provisioning/deprovisioning between HRIS and IdP platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience with configuration management systems and scripting to build self-service IT tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Identity Provider (IdP) solutions including SAML, SCIM, LDAP, and RADIUS
  • Ability to participate in multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively, handle assigned tasks with minimal supervision
  • Team player, resourceful, able to work under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • IT certifications (Cisco networking certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, Cloud certifications from AWS, Azure or GCP, Security+, ITIL v3.)
  • IT governance such as ISO27001 or other data privacy regulations such as GDPR

Responsibilities

  • Architect and maintain end-to-end user lifecycle workflows by integrating our HRIS, IdP, and core applications (D365, BambooHR, Expensify, Google Workspace, JumpCloud) via REST APIs and automation to drive a seamless, self-service IT model.
  • Collaborate closely with the Global IT Manager to prioritize high-impact automation projects, ensuring that architectural improvements and systemic fixes take precedence over manual maintenance.
  • Own the global lab and asset management lifecycle, ensuring hardware inventory is tracked, maintained, and optimized across all regions.
  • Build and deploy internal tooling and scripts to automate daily IT operations, reducing manual overhead and improving response times for global teams.
  • Administer the global MDM and IdP stack (JumpCloud) to secure the device fleet and manage granular user access controls.
  • Participate in global change and configuration management processes to ensure consistency across production and lab environments.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for lab processes, asset management records, system configurations, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Proactively analyze system and network metrics to identify bottlenecks, optimize resources, and prevent downtime.
