Role Overview We are seeking a Senior IT Security Architect & Solutions Engineer to lead the design, evolution, and governance of our enterprise IT and cloud architecture. This role is responsible for defining technical standards, guiding strategic technology decisions, and ensuring our infrastructure and platforms are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with business objectives. The Senior Information Security Engineer serves as a trusted technical leader responsible for designing, architecting, and guiding the implementation of enterprise security solutions across our diverse technology landscape. This role works at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution, ensuring that our security architecture enables innovation while protecting our ERP platforms, supply chain systems, and connected device ecosystem. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring both deep technical expertise and the ability to influence cross-functional teams at the enterprise level. Act as both a hands-on technical authority and a strategic advisor to IT leadership. Define and maintain enterprise and solution architectures, with a focus on Microsoft Azure and hybrid environments Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective technical designs Develop and maintain architecture standards, reference architectures, and design principles Evaluate new technologies and platforms, providing clear recommendations and trade-off analyses Azure Cloud Architecture Design and govern Cloud solutions including: Virtual Networks, VPNs, ExpressRoute Compute (VMs, App Services, Containers, AKS as applicable) Storage, backup, and disaster recovery Identity and access (Entra ID / Azure AD, RBAC) Ensure cloud solutions align with security, compliance, and cost management best practices Lead or advise on on-prem to Cloud and hybrid cloud architectures Core Infrastructure & Platforms Provide architectural oversight for: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune) Server platforms (Windows Server, virtualization) Network architecture (LAN/WAN, firewalls, segmentation) Ensure high availability, performance, and operational resiliency across systems Security & Compliance Partner with security, risk, and compliance stakeholders to: Embed security-by-design into all architectures Support frameworks such as NIST, ISO, SOC, or similar Ensure identity, access, logging, and monitoring are architecturally sound Review designs for adherence to Zero Trust and least-privilege principles Governance, Standards & Collaboration Review and approve architecture designs from internal teams and vendors Act as a technical escalation point for complex or high-impact initiatives Mentor senior engineers and contribute to technical skill development across IT Collaborate with application, security, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure alignment You have: 8+ years of experience in information security, with at least 4+ years in security architecture and engineering. Proven track record in designing secure enterprise solutions in cloud-native (AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid, and on-prem environments. Expertise in identity & access management, cloud security, application security, and data protection. Strong understanding of network architecture, zero-trust models, DevSecOps, and container security (Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and security design principles. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Solid baseline knowledge of: Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) Network architecture and security concepts Server and virtualization platforms Experience designing hybrid cloud or multi-environment architectures Familiarity with identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD, SSO, MFA, RBAC) Professional Experience Proven ability to design solutions for scale, resilience, and long-term maintainability Experience working in regulated or audit-driven environments is highly desirable Strong documentation skills; able to clearly explain complex architectures to technical and non-technical audiences Comfortable influencing decisions without direct authority You may have: Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) Experience with: Infrastructure-as-Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform) Automation and scripting (PowerShell) Monitoring and logging platforms Exposure to security tooling (Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, SIEM/SOC integration) Experience supporting ERP, SaaS, or business-critical platforms Pay Range: Annual Salary: $123,000.00 - $140,000.00 The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer. Requirements
