About The Position

Morton Salt is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead complex, enterprise-wide IT initiatives, driving execution across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) or more years of project management experience within Information Technology environments.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience managing data related projects or programs (e.g., data platforms, data migrations, BI, integrations, master data, and analytics).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools and reporting platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading successful business system consolidation projects through data analysis, harmonization, normalization, validation, and migration is preferred.
  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent experience) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex IT initiatives by managing multiple large‑scale or multi‑phase projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery of defined outcomes related to scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans that clearly define objectives, success metrics, strategy, staffing, schedules, dependencies, risks, contingency plans, and resource allocation to support predictable execution.
  • Oversee high‑risk and high‑visibility projects with significant business impact by proactively identifying, analyzing, prioritizing, mitigating, and communicating risks and issues.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge to assess project feasibility, guide technical discussions, challenge assumptions, and resolve complex issues related to infrastructure, data, cloud platforms, security, and integrations.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams including infrastructure, data, application, security, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely delivery of all project deliverables.
  • Communicate project status clearly and consistently by providing executive‑level updates on progress, risks, issues, decisions, and dependencies to senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor relationships by establishing strong partnerships, jointly developing project plans, and ensuring timely delivery of IT equipment, software, and professional services.
  • Ensure compliance with IT PMO governance by managing projects in accordance with established policies, standards, methodologies, and documentation requirements.
  • Monitor and control project execution through regular schedule reviews, milestone tracking, budget oversight, change control, and performance metrics.
  • Lead project retrospectives and lessons learned sessions to capture insights, drive continuous improvement, and strengthen project delivery practices across the organization.
  • Support organizational change management by identifying impacts to people, process, and technology and helping ensure successful adoption of delivered solutions.
