About The Position

Rubrik’s IT team is moving the company from a traditional application stack to an intelligent enterprise where applications help run the business. This role builds internal products used by Accounting, Controllership, and Tax, with the goal of improving close speed and confidence in financial data. The accounting vision includes agents that understand the chart of accounts, accounting policy, and transaction context, and can carry entries from source events through to posted, audit-ready records, with appropriate controls and compliance. The Senior IT Product Manager will lead strategy and delivery for next-generation accounting capabilities, including the general ledger, close, intercompany, reconciliations, fixed assets, sub-ledger accounting, and commissions. The role takes an AI-first, first-principles approach to redesigning accounting workflows, prototyping solutions, and incorporating agents, evaluations, automation, and human approvals into workflows with audit-level stakes. It partners with finance system developers, AI architects, Internal Audit, and vendors to deliver scalable, SOX-compliant products, and leads UAT, training, adoption, and go-live.

Requirements

  • Prior experience building accounting or financial products at a product company on Oracle, SAP, or Workday Financials, as a product manager, product owner, or architect.
  • Hands-on delivery experience with AI-enabled or agentic workflows in an enterprise, including the ability to explain how work was broken down, evaluated, and where the model was or was not useful.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, including US GAAP and ASC 606, and the end-to-end close.
  • Eight or more years across product management, finance systems, or accounting operations in an enterprise, or a body of work demonstrating equivalent capability.
  • Track record of turning complex accounting and finance problems into simple, scalable products.
  • SOX and audit fluency, and experience leading onsite/offshore delivery teams.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted coding and low-code tools to prototype and test ideas quickly.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to align Controllership, Tax, Accounting Operations, Internal Audit, and executive leadership, including CFO staff, behind a product direction.

  • Own the vision and roadmap for next-generation accounting capabilities, from journal entry through financial statements.
  • Prototype quickly with AI tools to validate logic, data flows, and control points before engineering begins.
