About The Position

Join Digital Infrastructure Services and help deliver the network and communications services that keep Tasmania’s public health system connected, secure and operational. As a Senior IT Officer – Communications, you will support and maintain enterprise network and communications infrastructure across a large, complex 24×7 environment. You will take ownership of complex incidents, provide advanced technical support, and contribute to the design, deployment and continuous improvement of critical services. This role delivers operational support across the full-service lifecycle, from planning through to optimisation. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, support team capability, and help maintain reliable, secure and high-performing services.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise network and communications environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to manage and resolve complex incidents
• Experience contributing to the design, deployment and optimisation of network services
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work independently and mentor others

Nice To Haves

• Current Driver’s Licence
• Tertiary qualifications in computer technology or a related discipline
• Relevant IT industry experience
