About The Position

The Senior Contracts Specialist will work independently and in a team environment to draft, proofread, edit, and finalize Statements of Work (SOWs) and amendments within established timeframes. This role supports Managed Services, Custom or Fixed Fee, and Staff Augmentation (T&M) engagements between Client IT business units and Preferred Providers for external contract labor.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Corporate Contracts, or a related area
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple contracts under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written, verbal, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Sound judgment, including appropriate escalation
  • Solid understanding of contract principles, legal terms, and service level development
  • Ability to research, apply legal best practices, and resolve business challenges independently
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (redlining, formatting, track changes)
  • Excel proficiency preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate meetings to capture and document business requirements, specifications, and specialized terms
  • Prepare, negotiate, review, and lead IT Professional and Consulting Services contracts, including SOWs, amendments, and redlines
  • Manage contracts from intake through execution, receipt of fully completed copies, and Purchase Order issuance (as required)
  • Validate resource plans against approved rate cards and support engagements exceeding $100M
  • Deliver training to Service Delivery teams and contribute to SOPs, templates, and contract improvements
  • Ensure service levels, metrics, and reporting requirements are included in SOWs
  • Support issue resolution impacting contract completion, including Vendor Management Exceptions
  • Incorporate lessons learned into operating procedures and contract updates
  • Monitor, prioritize, and track incoming SOW requests; manage document versions and shared file structures
  • Provide regular status updates through tracking tools and team meetings
  • Partner with Legal and Procurement on high-profile agreements, change orders, escalations, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform contract administration tasks and assist with special projects as needed
