About The Position

Trissential is seeking a Senior IT Cloud Engineer to design, optimize, and govern large-scale cloud platforms across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves building the cloud foundations that power enterprise innovation, focusing on automation, DevOps, and cloud governance to ensure enterprise systems scale securely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The position offers enterprise-scale impact by architecting, implementing, and optimizing cloud platforms for mission-critical systems, leadership in Cloud & DevOps by influencing standards and automation, and cross-functional collaboration with architects, developers, security, and IT leadership. It involves hands-on work with modern cloud stacks including Azure, GCP, automation, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code, and provides strategic visibility by partnering with senior stakeholders on long-term cloud strategy and governance.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience across Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Experience working in both cloud and on-prem environments
  • Deep understanding of cloud services, infrastructure, and enterprise integration
  • Practical experience applying DevOps principles, automation, and CI/CD practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, platform, and operational layers
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to both technical and executive stakeholders
  • Experience working within Agile frameworks and sprint-based delivery models
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of technical experience and 1+ year of leadership experience OR Associate’s degree with 7+ years of experience and 1+ year of leadership experience OR HS/GED with 9+ years of experience and 1+ year of leadership experience in a large enterprise environment
  • Cloud Engineering Certification (required)

  • Cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting AI/ML platforms or HPC environments
  • Healthcare or highly regulated industry experience
  • Experience developing shared tools or frameworks used by multiple teams

Responsibilities

  • Execute the enterprise cloud and infrastructure strategy defined by cloud architects
  • Design, implement, and integrate cloud solutions across business and IT platforms
  • Develop complex automation scripts and orchestration workflows to streamline operations
  • Own cloud configuration using appropriate tooling and infrastructure-as-code practices
  • Lead implementation of governance models including RBAC, cost containment, and account management
  • Ensure cloud solutions comply with enterprise architecture and security standards
  • Partner with security teams to maintain a secure cloud environment
  • Plan, validate, and oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of cloud platforms
  • Develop documentation including solution designs, installation instructions, and operational runbooks
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies, tools, and standards to drive continuous improvement
  • Develop cost and time estimates for cloud solutions and infrastructure initiatives
  • Collaborate with development teams and take ownership of the operational side of DevOps
