About The Position

The Webex Cloud Edge group runs/develops the software and services for the Webex suite and shapes the future of work. Working within the Collaboration Technology Group, you’ll be part of a dedicated team transforming the connections between people and the information they need to share to better the business. Developer Experience connects those who build and improve collaboration with technology to empower their end-users to engage and innovate -- anywhere, on any device. Support Cisco Webex’s Federal customers by working closely with global SRE teams and technical leads to manage day-to-day service operations, capacity planning, and customer escalations, ensuring a seamless and reliable customer experience. Manage, monitor, troubleshoot the Webex rich media applications and services, support the Webex SIP edge services in FedRAMP High or IL-5 environments, and therefore, must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee). This position may also perform work that the U.S. government has specified can only be performed by a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil. Apply SRE and DevOps principles to operate a globally scaled, highly available, and stable cloud service on the WebEx platform, while developing and following ITIL-based processes to maintain operational excellence. Use strong analytical skills to identify issues, propose solutions, review logs for errors, file defects, and implement design improvements to maintain service quality and reliability. Participate actively in on-call and pager duty rotations to provide top-notch, responsive support to customers, embodying the principles of Continuous Delivery, Continuous Visibility, and Assessment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of related experience, or Master’s degree plus 4 years, or PhD plus 1 year of related experience, or 10+ years related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within Agile/Scrum development frameworks and cross-functional teams.
  • Practical experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, including system monitoring, incident management, and operational automation.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and managing containerized application/services in K8s.
  • Proficiency in automation scripting (Bash, Ansible + Python or Go) and the use of regular expressions for data parsing, log analysis, and automation tasks.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (i.e., U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).

Nice To Haves

  • Comprehensive understanding of VoIP protocols, architectural design, and implementation within enterprise environments.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat mitigation strategies, and industry-standard security best practices.

Responsibilities
