Senior IT Business Analyst, AI Engineering Team
About The Position
We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our AI Engineering Team. This role is essential within our team and contributes to our mission of helping people, businesses, and society prosper. You will collaborate with various teams to define product vision, gather requirements, scope projects, and define roadmaps. You will also work with architects to understand technical aspects and security requirements, and with AI engineers, data scientists, and DevOps for ticket elaboration. A key part of this role is acting as a liaison between data science, AI engineering, and business groups, and supporting testing phases. You will own and manage documentation such as BRDs, technical specifications, functional and non-functional requirements, and project planning documents. You will also participate in agile ceremonies, manage the product backlog, and proactively communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in IT as a senior business analyst
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Senior BA or Product Owner in AI product development or mature agile environments
- Excellent knowledge of agile methodology
- Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or any IT related education field
- Solid experience in AI product development projects
- Strong knowledge in AI, Data Science and LLM applications
- Comfortable with Jira, Teams, and Confluence tools
- Ability to deliver impactful presentations and facilitate workshops
- Facilitate daily scrums, planning, review meetings, and prioritization workshops
- Very good understanding of the technical aspects of design and development
- Proficiency in English is required
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree is an asset
- Fluency in French is a plus
- CSPO, CBAP, CPOA certifications are preferred
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data science teams & operation teams for defining product vision, requirement gathering & project scoping
- Collaborate with a wide variety of teams to define roadmaps & integrated plans
- Collaborate with architects to understand technical aspects and provide answers for security gatings
- Collaborate with AI engg, Data Scientists, Data Engineers & Dev Ops for Jira ticket elaboration
- Collaborate across teams to diagnose & resolve issues
- Act as a glue between data science, AI engineer and business groups
- Collaborate across teams during testing phases
- Own & manage documents like BRD, Technical Specification doc, Functional & Non-Functional requirements, global test strategy Project & release planning documents
- Build case studies & project understanding documents
- Participate & lead in all agile ceremonies
- Manage product backlog
- Help Scrum Master prioritize work
- Proactively track progress and provide updates
- Highlight risks and share mitigation plans
- Stakeholder communication across key project milestones
- Gather & share feedback from end users
