About The Position

KēSTA I.T. is actively seeking a highly experienced Senior IT Business Analyst for an immediate contract engagement. This role involves analyzing business needs and supporting the planning, design, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing support of enterprise applications. The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a primary subject matter expert for a critical business application, providing guidance to business stakeholders, legal and compliance teams, application development teams, and external vendors. The candidate will translate complex stakeholder needs into clear business requirements and system documentation, while also supporting application maintenance, enhancements, testing, user acceptance activities, training, and production operations. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, analytical thinker, and self-starter who can work independently while building effective partnerships across business and technical teams.

Requirements

10+ years of relevant business analysis, systems analysis, or related experience.
Experience managing or supporting IT projects and developing detailed business requirements.
Strong ability to gather, analyze, document, and translate complex stakeholder needs into actionable requirements.
Experience supporting application development, enhancement, testing, and production activities.
Experience developing and executing test plans and supporting user acceptance testing.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with business, legal, technical, and operational stakeholders.
Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and professional writing conventions.
Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage priorities with limited supervision.
Ability to receive, understand, and incorporate direction, feedback, and editorial input.
Ability to review, categorize, prioritize, and analyze information using sound judgment and discretion.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Proficiency with Balsamiq or similar requirements and wireframing tools.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps or similar application/project management platforms.
Experience with SQL scripting and data analysis.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to apply evaluative reasoning and sound judgment when analyzing complex or subjective business situations.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary subject matter expert for application functionality, business processes, and program operations.
Analyze business needs and translate stakeholder requirements into detailed, actionable business and system requirements.
Ensure application functionality, requirements, and applicable industry standards are clearly defined and effectively implemented.
Coordinate application maintenance, production support, and enhancement activities while representing business and stakeholder interests.
Develop and maintain detailed business requirements, functional documentation, process documentation, and other system-related materials.
Work closely with business stakeholders, legal and compliance teams, application development teams, and third-party vendors to understand needs and ensure successful deliverables.
Develop, document, and execute test plans for application enhancements and system changes.
Support user acceptance testing (UAT), including test preparation, data preparation, issue identification, documentation, and resolution coordination.
Participate in application enhancement projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from requirements definition and planning through implementation and evaluation.
Assist with the development of user training materials, including screenshots, process documentation, instructions, and other user guidance.
Support production activities and help investigate and resolve application-related issues.
Fulfill business and data requests by researching, analyzing, and interpreting relevant information.
Communicate complex business and technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Review and evaluate business processes and application functionality to identify opportunities for improvement.
Apply sound judgment and analytical reasoning when evaluating requirements, data, processes, and potential solutions.
Incorporate feedback and direction into requirements, documentation, testing materials, and other project deliverables.
Maintain accurate and organized project and application documentation throughout the development and support lifecycle.
