About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring IT systems function smoothly for all employees at Hearth. The IT and Security Specialist will manage IT issues, oversee the onboarding and offboarding processes, and maintain SOC2 compliance. The position involves auditing existing systems and building scalable IT functions to support company growth. The role offers significant ownership and the opportunity to shape the IT function, with potential to expand into Office Manager responsibilities.

Requirements

Prior experience as the main IT point person or a core IT specialist at a similarly sized company.
Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Working knowledge of SOC2 compliance and experience with compliance tools like Vanta.
Strong written communication skills for effective communication via Slack.
Ability to be on-site at the SoHo office five days a week.

Nice To Haves

Experience building AI-powered workflows or automations for IT support.
Familiarity with Okta or similar identity and access management tools.
Mac device administration experience, preferably from a startup environment.

Responsibilities

Resolve day-to-day IT tickets for employees, acting as the primary point of contact for IT issues.
Own and document the end-to-end onboarding and off-boarding processes for new employees.
Manage SOC2 compliance operations in Vanta, partnering with the People Operations team to ensure audit readiness.
Administer the Mac fleet and manage access controls for tools such as Dialpad and Salesforce.
Identify and implement opportunities for IT process automation, including using AI for repetitive support tasks.
Potentially expand responsibilities to include Office Manager duties such as reception, supply management, and guest coordination.
