About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an IT Security Specialist for a hybrid role supporting a Global Financial Institution. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity focused on the Guardium product within the Database Activity Monitoring workstream. The role involves managing design, software certifications, and process automation for various database security functions, with a primary emphasis on engineering solutions for provisioning, patching, version upgrades, and reporting.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell
Hands-on experience with Oracle, MSSQL, or other RDBMS
Hands-on experience with product certifications and process automation
Experience with JIRA and Horizon
Able to work a hybrid schedule with a minimum of 3 days per week onsite

Nice To Haves

Experience with emerging databases such as CockroachDB, Cassandra and Postgres
Experience with Cloud based databases (AWS or Azure)
Experience with GitHub Copilot and Prompt Engineering

Responsibilities

Support Guardium product as a part of a Database Activity Monitoring worksteam
Manage design, software certifications and process automation for various database security areas (activity monitoring, access management, encryption, etc.)
Engineer solutions for provisioning, patching, version upgrades and reporting
