About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an IT Security Specialist - Vulnerability Management for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution in Richmond, VA. This is a 12+ month contract role focused on providing guidance and triaging issues related to security vulnerability management. The specialist will act as a liaison for application teams, lead efforts to remediate vulnerabilities, and collaborate with Global Technology teams to enhance processes and prepare for a ServiceNow transition.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Vulnerability Management
3+ years of experience with ServiceNow Vulnerability Management
Experience with data analysis and presentation
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, analysis, etc.)
Proven ability in problem resolution, particularly with security vulnerabilities
Strong skills in project management, stakeholder management, and influencing outcomes
Familiarity with DevOps practices and solution delivery processes

Nice To Haves

Experience with Confluence is a strong plus
Previous domain expertise within a large enterprise CIO Application or CTI product portfolio is strongly preferred
Ability to communicate, engage and build partnership at a senior leadership level
Self-starter, intellectually curious, and an eagerness to learn
Able to work in a very fluid, fast-paced, collaborative, and matrixed environment
Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

Serve as a point of contact for application teams and work with operations, engineering, and Information Security to resolve vulnerability remediation issues
Lead workstreams in partnership with central teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities and violations
Analyze data to identify, communicate, and drive prioritization
Build relationships with key business partners to influence outcomes over time
Identify process and automation improvement opportunities
Lead projects to drive improvements to processes, reporting on status regularly with stakeholders and leadership
Prepare for the enterprise transition to ServiceNow and provide strategic leadership
