Ocean Capital has a new opportunity for a Senior IT Analyst- Human Capital Management at our Saint John, NB location or Halifax, NS location. This position reports to the Manager- HCM and will hold the overall production support the HCM system across the organization working closely with the HR and Payroll teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise HCM, ERP, or system administration (Oracle Fusion HCM preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Oracle Fusion HCM administration and configuration
  • HDL/HSDL, BI Publisher, OTBI
  • REST/SOAP APIs and file-based integrations
  • Fast Formulas and system security models

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of Oracle security best practices, as well as, Oracle integrations or HCM extracts would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level system administration, production support, and ongoing optimization of the HCM system.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for complex technical and functional system issues.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and execute technical testing for quarterly updates and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into effective system solutions and provide training when needed.
  • Design, configure, and maintain system alerts, notifications, reports, integrations, and system customizations.
  • Create and maintain system customizations using VBCS and Oracle customization tools.
  • Develop, read, and modify Fast Formulas.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using HCM Extracts, BI Publisher, HDL/HSDL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Ensure compliance with security models, governance standards, and change management processes.
  • Create, maintain, and govern technical documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials.
  • Communicate system updates, risks, and impacts clearly to stakeholders.
  • Research and recommend new features, best practices, and improvements to maximize system value
