In Canada, Mistplay follows a 2 days/week in-office hybrid model in Toronto (400 University Ave) & Montreal (1001 Blvd. Robert-Bourassa). Mistplay is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior iOS Developer II to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our native iOS app, improving user engagement, and providing exceptional user experiences. Collaborating with Product, Design, and Data teams, you will lead initiatives that focus on innovative design and robust application development.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience as an iOS Developer or similar role.
Profound knowledge of Swift and iOS SDKs, with experience in modern iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, and SwiftUI.
Ability to identify, analyze, and solve complex issues, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
A proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams, collaborating seamlessly with product, design, and other departments.
Ability to innovate and drive development projects, demonstrating dedication to collective success through strong communication and cooperation skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in testing frameworks and writing unit tests.
Familiarity with CI/CD and automated deployment processes.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
Exposure to backend integration and API handling.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of complex features that enhance user experience and drive user engagement on our iOS platform.
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and implement intuitive, user-friendly solutions for the iOS app, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring the seamless integration of various components within the iOS ecosystem.
Focus on UI design principles to create applications that are visually appealing and intuitive using SwiftUI and other modern iOS development tools.
Write secure, clean, and efficient code following best practices, and ensure the application can evolve and adapt to meet changing business needs.
Actively participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Mentor and coach junior iOS developers, nurturing their growth and developing their skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.
