About The Position

Early Media is creating and distributing groundbreaking original series. We craft narratives with viral potential while preserving the heart of indie production, telling meaningful stories audiences actually care about. Every creative decision is sharpened by a proprietary testing and marketing engine that collapses the distance between filmmaker and audience into the tightest iteration loop in the industry. We are seeking an experienced Senior iOS Developer to lead the development of our mobile applications, particularly for the Twist App. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in iOS development, understand the app lifecycle from development to deployment, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• Unbothered by pressure.
• Shipped at least a couple of iOS apps that real users downloaded (freelance counts).
• Strong Swift and Xcode chops, and genuine fluency with the App Store submission process.
• Owned an app through its full lifecycle (build, test, ship, maintain).
• Comfortable making product calls with incomplete specs.
• Can work solo for long stretches without losing momentum or waiting on directions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building streaming or content-delivery apps.
• Integrated a mobile app with analytics or payment systems before.
• Know your way around auth and identity management on mobile.
• Shipped an SDK meant for other apps to embed.
• Comfortable in a codebase that's still finding its shape.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of our mobile applications, particularly for the Twist App.
• Own the native iOS app for Twist, from first commit to App Store approval.
• Own the future embeddable SDK for integration into other apps.
• Manage App Store submissions, reviews, onboarding, rejections, and resubmissions.
• Make performance and UX decisions for an audience that is almost entirely mobile-first.
• Make the call on what gets built, cut, or deferred to keep the app moving.
