About The Position
Incumbent provides expertise required to monitor Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) cases in the operating room which may include but not limited to; spinal, vascular, brachial plexus and cranial surgeries. May require but not limited to; Somatosensory evoked potentials, Transcranial motor evoked potentials, Auditory evoked potential, Functional cortical mapping, Cranial nerve electromyography, Lateral spread, Limb Electromyography and D-waves.
Requirements
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must possess current CNIM Certificate from ABRET.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Must be willing to travel between locations within the health system as needed.
- Minimum three (3) years experience as an IONM Tech.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Current BLS certification required by time of hire.
- Advanced knowledge of EP and IOM acquisition and artifact detection/elimination.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in the UC Irvine Medical Center operating room.
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.
- IOM experience with Craniotomy cases.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field.
Responsibilities
