The Senior Investment Associate located in San Francisco will be a part of a diverse group that now requires an additional team player who will have wide-ranging, client-facing responsibilities. Requirements

  • Active passion for investing
  • 3-6 years’ experience in a professional services role (e.g., management consulting, investment banking, or asset management)
  • Undergraduate degree with a strong track record of academic achievement
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong quantitative skills and detail-orientation
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative working environment
  • High intellectual curiosity and willingness to contribute to the overall success of the business

Nice To Haves

  • Interest or steps taken towards becoming a CFA Charterholder is preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Support the management of individual client portfolios and relationships.
  • Maximize long-term client portfolio investment performance, subject to applicable portfolio constraints, and provide exceptional client service.
  • Prepare recommendations related to client portfolio asset allocation and external manager selection.
  • Monitor portfolio exposures on an ongoing basis.
  • Rebalance investments, as necessary, to ensure that the portfolio adheres to stated goals and constraints.
  • Manage liquidity to meet capital requirements of the client.
  • Prepare materials for client portfolio update meetings.
  • Support responding to client questions regarding managers, exposures, investment strategy, and operational matters.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to respond to client requests related to, for example: external investment opportunities, debt issuance, charitable giving, and/or estate planning.
  • Manage, develop and mentor junior team members who will support the Senior Investment Associate in their range of responsibilities.
  • Prepare pitch materials including evaluating existing portfolios, crafting Requests for Proposals, assisting with researching, identifying, and tracking prospective clients.
  • Innovate new lines of business.
  • Occasionally accountable for the investment due diligence process including sourcing and monitoring new investments and leading initial meetings in the research process.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses that require strong Excel modelling skills.
  • Ensure all information security processes, policies and procedures are adhered to and any issues or concerns are raised with the Cyber Security team.
  • Ensure full compliance with all local data protection regulations and privacy controls, and any related issues are raised via the appropriate channels.
