Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery is seeking a Senior Inventory Accountant to provide analysis and accounting over retail and supplies inventory. This is a dynamic role requiring the development and implementation of strong monthly processes over inventory accounting and analyzing the cost of goods sold by product. Requirements
- Strong analytical, time management, and Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines without compromising the quality of work.
- Possess strong data analysis skills.
- Expected to be proficient in data mining the inventory system (ENVI) within 3 months.
- Experience in inventory accounting and analysis.
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI and other data analysis tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.
- 5 years of work experience in inventory accounting or related field.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity of inventory accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Understand the inventory system (ENVI) and extra data for detailed financial analysis of products.
- Maintain the inventory-related general ledger accounts.
- Provide support on monthly counts, particularly for retail inventory.
- Provide various monthly cost analysis by product.
- Assist in annual audit preparation, as related to inventory and cost of goods sold accounts.
- Assist in the development of processes and controls to assure accurate inventory accounting.
- Provide data to assist in fair value accounting, including assessing obsolescence, spoilage and shrinkage.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for costs of goods sold.
- Assist in monitoring pricing discounts for products sold.
- Prepare margin analytics for products sold.
