It spans positioning and messaging, acquisition, community and brand presence, measurement, and reporting. These are USD ranges and exact compensation may vary by skills, experience, and location.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in multi-channel marketing strategy, including launching a brand or product in a new market or country.
  • Experience owning positioning and messaging for a professional audience and developing proof points that establish credibility.
  • Experience owning acquisition budgets and measurement, and making informed trade-offs when data is early.
  • Ability to align cross-functional partners around shared plans and move work forward without direct management authority.
  • Comfort building amid ambiguity and moving between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Understanding of marketing and privacy regulations across countries; Canadian experience is preferred.
  • Thoughtful judgment about where AI and emerging tools can improve marketing work and where human judgment is important.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in veterinary medicine, healthcare, marketplaces, labor platforms, or international expansion.
  • Knowledge of marketing and privacy regulations in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Own marketing strategy for international markets, including acquisition and brand-presence goals for both sides of the marketplace.
  • Lead go-to-market and engagement planning for each new market, covering audience and market insight, positioning, channel mix, budget, timelines, and measurement.
  • Create an international launch playbook to make each subsequent country launch faster and less resource-intensive.
  • Share market insights from veterinary professionals, hospitals, and partners to inform product, pricing, and marketing decisions.
  • Define market-specific positioning and messaging with brand and product marketing teams, grounded in local professional and hospital practices and needs.
  • Develop proof points, customer stories, and data that establish Roo’s credibility in new markets.
  • Own each market’s messaging framework and guide the company’s voice and narrative across campaigns, the website, sales materials, and product experiences.
  • Understand and apply each country’s marketing, privacy, and anti-spam laws to campaigns, and educate internal teams about those requirements.
  • Own acquisition strategy and budgets across paid, organic, referral, and partner channels in each market.
  • Coordinate with sales and account management on acquisition and growth targets, pipeline, messaging, materials, and campaigns for hospitals and veterinary professionals.
  • Partner with the lifecycle team on market-specific onboarding, activation, and engagement journeys, and review performance to improve conversion of sign-ups into active users.
  • Shape referral and ambassador programs that encourage veterinary professionals and hospitals to refer peers to Roo.
  • Work with the brand team on locally relevant campaigns, content, design, creative, PR, and earned media.
  • Develop ideas for Roo’s presence at conferences, trade shows, continuing-education events, and other industry moments; coordinate execution and follow-up with relevant teams.
  • Build relationships with local partners, key opinion leaders, and industry associations.
  • Set goals and metrics before launches and campaigns, and track funnel performance across both sides of the marketplace.
  • Track channel and campaign results against budget, interpret early performance signals, and reallocate investment toward effective activity.
  • Measure brand awareness and perception with the brand team’s support.
  • Provide regular reporting to international and marketing leadership on results, learnings, and next steps.
  • Launch in new Canadian markets on schedule, grow hospital and veterinary-professional acquisition within plan and budget, build Roo’s Canadian brand presence, establish channel measures, prepare the next launch playbook, and lead the next country launch.
