About The Position

The NYC Senior Specialist, Internal Communications position would support Chobani’s corporate internal communications priorities, with a particular focus on People Team communications, executive communications, headquarters engagement, and enterprise-wide employee messaging. Based in New York City, the ideal candidate will be a strong writer, detail-oriented project manager, and trusted communications partner who can help translate business priorities, culture moments, and people-related programs into clear, timely, employee-centered communications. The role would provide focused New York City communications support for senior leadership, the People Team, and cross-functional partners, while helping maintain consistency across Chobani’s internal channels, voice, and employee experience.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree required; communications-related degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience in internal communications, employee communications, HR communications, executive communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a similar role.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and message-development skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and leaders.
  • Experience supporting People Team, HR, culture, employee engagement, or organizational communications preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, approvals, competing priorities, and multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfort working with senior leaders and cross-functional partners in a fast-moving corporate environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, consistency, and brand voice.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and service-oriented, with a passion for helping employees understand the business and feel connected to the company’s culture.
  • Willingness to provide occasional support outside standard business hours for executive, event, or urgent communications needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support People Team communications, including employee programs, benefits, policy updates, culture initiatives, engagement campaigns, organizational announcements, and manager-facing materials.
  • Draft, edit, and coordinate executive communications, including leader messages, talking points, town hall content, employee notes, meeting openers, and internal announcements.
  • Partner with People Team leaders, executive stakeholders, and Communications colleagues to translate complex or sensitive topics into clear, accessible, employee-centered messaging.
  • Support headquarters and corporate communications needs in New York City, including employee engagement moments, leadership visits, internal events, and cross-functional updates.
  • Develop content for internal channels including email, intranet, Teams, digital signage, newsletters, presentations, leader toolkits, FAQs, and event materials.
  • Help maintain consistency with Chobani’s internal communications voice, style, tone, and brand standards across employee-facing materials.
  • Coordinate communications calendars, approvals, distribution plans, and stakeholder feedback to ensure messages are timely, accurate, and aligned.
  • Support change communications and organizational updates in partnership with the People Team, Legal, Communications, and business leaders as needed.
  • Track employee questions, feedback themes, and communications needs to help improve clarity, timing, and effectiveness of People Team and executive messaging.
  • Support key Communications & Impact efforts and other business projects as assigned.
