About The Position

As an Internal Communications Specialist for PCL Construction Enterprises, Inc. in Denver, Colorado, you’ll have the opportunity to create clear, engaging communications that connect employees to PCL’s business priorities, culture and employee ownership mindset. You’ll support internal communication plans and initiatives, develop content for a variety of employee audiences and channels, and partner with communicators, leaders, departments and business teams to help employees understand the impact of their work and the role they play in PCL’s success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field.
  • 4-7 years of experience in a corporate or agency setting.
  • Expert in AP writing style and superb verbal, writing, editing and proofreading skills.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing measurable strategic communications programs.
  • Experience creating engaging intranet content.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at one time, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and team-focused with the ability to develop and sustain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions.
  • Willingness to travel and work with teams across the U.S. and Canada. Travel will account for approximately 10% of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Working collaboratively with the marketing and communications team to assist in the creation and implementation of communications plans and initiatives while ensuring brand integrity.
  • Leading the research, planning, and execution of specific communications initiatives.
  • Writing and editing materials, including internal announcements, intranet content, speaking notes, internal toolkits, executive memos, newsletters, award submissions, etc., for a variety of internal and sometimes external audiences and mediums.
  • Supporting internal communications for company departments and strategic initiatives including diversity, equity and inclusion campaigns, events and observances.
  • Driving our internal strategy to support and engage our non-wired employees.
  • Building relationships with all levels of internal clients.
  • Work directly with these key internal clients to ensure message consistency, shape key business decisions and outcomes and support their initiatives with various communication tactics.
  • Measuring and reporting key performance indicators.
