About The Position

ZURU is seeking an experienced Interior Designer or Interior Architect to join their El Segundo studio. This role will focus on shaping residential projects in Malibu and Hawai'i, with potential for future developments. It is a hands-on design position encompassing interior architecture, materials, FF&E, custom components, detailing, and product development. The designer will collaborate with architects, designers, and engineers to create cohesive homes, with an interest in aesthetics, feel, functionality, and manufacturing. The Malibu projects involve 16 fully custom beachfront residences, each individually designed with bespoke interiors and exceptional attention to detail. The Hawai'i projects include a large-scale collection of homes for a new resort community, requiring the development of distinctive interiors and components that can be produced at scale without appearing standardized. This position offers the opportunity to see ideas move quickly from sketch to prototype to production, with designers involved throughout the entire process. The work will significantly impact how individual homes feel and how interior systems are developed, refined, and manufactured at scale, following projects from concept through production, installation, and completion.
