Senior Interior Designer
About The Position
Our client, a commercial interiors firm, is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join its team. This role combines creative design, space planning, furniture specifications, and client relationship management. The designer will lead projects from concept through completion, present and sell design solutions, and collaborate with sales and project teams to deliver successful outcomes. The ideal candidate has at least seven years of interior design experience, strong presentation and relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently. The role offers an opportunity to transform client spaces through tailored design.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
- At least 7 years of professional interior design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong client relationship-building, sales, presentation, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial interior design projects from initial programming and space planning through design development and installation.
- Develop furniture layouts, design concepts, material selections, specifications, drawings, and presentations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, guide clients through the design process, and lead design presentations and meetings.
- Collaborate with sales teams, architects, contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Manage multiple projects while balancing deadlines, budgets, and resources.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to team development and collaboration.
- Stay current on industry trends, furniture products, materials, and design technologies.
