About The Position

The integration engineer is responsible for managing the movement and consolidation of data within and between applications and organizations. Provide data securely, with regulatory compliance, in the format and timeframe needed. Lower cost and complexity of managing solutions by developing shared models and interfaces. Identify meaningful events and automatically trigger alerts and actions. Support business intelligence, analytics, master data management, and operational efficiency efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7 years of experience in an IT Role.
  • Experience or background in C++ Tools and Release Engineering preferred.
  • Possess strong expertise in NAS and Cloud storage technologies.
  • Extensive experience with Isilon/PowerScale.
  • Experience with VAST Data storage arrays.
  • Skilled in performance tuning of Isilon/PowerScale/VAST clusters.
  • Deep understanding of network protocols such as SMB, NFS, S3.
  • Experience with 3rd party file migration tools (e.g., Komprise, StorageX, EMCopy).
  • Experience performing large scale file migrations between storage platforms is a must.
  • Possess automation, scripting, and programming skills with Python.
  • Experience with Ansible.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as code (i.e. Terraform).
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment.
  • Experience with Containers - RedHat OpenShift.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows file systems.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office tools, to include Visio.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment where each day provides a new set of challenges under short time constraints involving complex network configuration and/or troubleshooting requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA and MCP certification preferred.
  • CCNA Certification.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification desired.
  • Virtualization experience, specifically with VMware Horizon View, a strong plus.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and analyze data integration and lifecycle requirements.
  • Perform data discovery, document data lineage, and profile data.
  • Examine business rule compliance.
  • Design data integration and interoperability solutions, including solution components, mapping sources to targets, and data orchestration.
  • Develop data integration and interoperability solutions, including data services, data flow orchestration, data migration approaches, and complex event processing.
  • Maintain data integration and interoperability metadata.
  • Implement and monitor integrations, overseeing and participating in coding the transfer of messages and files.
  • Proactively monitor integrations and have a recovery plan for failed transmissions.
  • Ability to restore and replay failed transmissions.
  • Familiarity with tools such as data transformation engines, data virtualization servers, enterprise service buses, data and process modeling tools, data profiling tools, metadata repositories, iPaas tools, business rules engines, scheduling, ETL, and web services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and integrate CISCO, VMWare, and MS systems.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, including Visio.
