About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Systems, Systems Integration and Test Team is seeking a Sr. Integration Engineer Team Lead. We are a diverse team that works to implement unique solutions for complex problems in the defense sector, including but not limited to kinetic and directed energy defensive and offensive platforms as well as RADAR and other surveillance and sensor technologies. Requirements

  • BS degree and 8 – 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6 – 10 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain; additional education, experience or training will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes.
  • Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures.
  • Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)

Nice To Haves

  • Five to eight years of experience with hardware and software integration, test planning, and execution.
  • Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator, 1553 Bus Analyzer)
  • Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices
  • Experience with Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark
  • Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management
  • Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities

Responsibilities

  • Working directly with the customer and contractors to execute program requirements.
  • Creating, modifying, and using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test platforms to satisfy testing requirements.
  • Performing test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and/or software debug tools.
  • Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools.
  • Creating, modifying, and executing test plans and procedures to satisfy program requirements.
  • Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports.
  • Briefing both internal and external parties on test results and data.
  • The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year).
