About The Position

The Senior Integration Engineer plays a critical role in the manufacturing industry by designing, developing, and implementing complex integration solutions that connect various systems, applications, and devices across the enterprise. This position ensures seamless data flow and communication between manufacturing execution systems (MES), enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other operational technologies to optimize production efficiency and data accuracy. The engineer will lead integration projects from conception through deployment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including IT, operations, and engineering to meet business objectives. They will also troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining system reliability. Ultimately, this role drives innovation and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes through effective system integration and automation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in systems integration, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency with integration platforms and middleware such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or IBM Integration Bus.
  • Strong knowledge of APIs, web services (REST, SOAP), and messaging protocols (MQTT, AMQP).
  • Experience with programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing systems including MES, SCADA, and ERP solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience with cloud integration platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols like OPC UA, Modbus, or Profibus.
  • Certifications in integration technologies or project management (e.g., PMP, MuleSoft Certified Developer).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain integration solutions that connect manufacturing systems with enterprise applications.
  • Lead integration projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical integration requirements.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integration workflows to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Document integration processes, configurations, and best practices to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
  • Evaluate and recommend new integration tools and technologies to improve system interoperability and efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior integration engineers and other team members.
