Senior Integration Engineer
About The Position
Municipal Credit Union is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Senior Integration Engineer for its IT Operations & Development team. The role designs, builds, and deploys solutions that enhance member and employee experience, prevent fraud, and maximize operational efficiency across multi-tier environments. The engineer applies software development and integration practices to create clustered, reliable, scalable, high-performance solutions, collaborating with peers, stakeholders, end users, and Architects to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction. The position supports the Credit Union’s on-premise and cloud software platforms and encompasses API integration, application and database development, data engineering, quality, and delivery across the software lifecycle. The Senior Integration Engineer leads work with analysts, product managers, and business users to gather requirements, develop specifications, create and test code, optimize workflows, and deliver software from conception through completion. The role also supports agile practices, data quality and analytics, CI/CD validation, production performance, and regulatory compliance, including BSA/AML/OFAC.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proficiency in SQL and data pipeline tools such as Fabric or Azure Data Factory.
- Expertise in .NET-based architecture, including enterprise application integration, and deep knowledge of C# for building scalable, high-performance systems.
- Expertise delivering and improving data quality in cloud Big Data environments, including Enterprise Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Hubs, using Azure or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with a DevOps toolset such as Azure DevOps to collaborate and deploy code.
- Experience designing and executing test cases and tracking defects.
- Familiarity with QA methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with data modeling and metadata management.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
- Advanced Microsoft SQL Server skills, including database optimization, performance tuning, and complex SSIS package development.
- Familiarity with core integration concepts and optimization.
- Ability to work with project source control technology.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-volume environment while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities
- Build, consume, document, and integrate APIs in development, test, and production environments supporting on-premise and cloud software platforms.
- Develop functional databases, applications, and servers supporting website back ends.
- Integrate datasets from various source systems into unified formats.
- Collaborate with analysts, product managers, and business users to gather requirements, develop specifications, author, debug, test, and document program code.
- Conduct data cleansing and validation to meet enterprise data quality standards.
- Optimize software workflows to streamline processes.
- Ensure data models align with business requirements and support analytics and application development.
- Build and maintain data pipelines to retrieve, standardize, and transform data from source systems.
- Load processed data into analytical data stores and prepare it for developers and analysts.
- Work within an agile development framework, creating or leading the creation of user stories and estimating effort and duration.
- Monitor the performance and quality of data transfers between source and target systems.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines to continuously validate data pipelines.
- Optimize data flows for efficiency, scalability, and reliability.
- Develop database back-end applications using T-SQL/PL-SQL in Microsoft SQL Server, including complex stored procedures or PL/SQL code.
- Troubleshoot data accuracy and performance issues, identify root causes, and resolve them through measures such as indexing, transaction isolation adjustments, and code optimization.
- Support the team in a high-volume environment, meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Lead and manage the end-to-end software and application lifecycle, from project conception through completion.
- Adhere to regulatory compliance training and requirements, including BSA/AML/OFAC.
- Perform other related duties and assigned special projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members and maintain high ethical standards.
