About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Integrated Planning and Scheduling Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to join our team in Herndon VA location. This role will be an essential member of the Mission Systems Operations team and its proprietary programs’ growing portfolio, which provide end-to-end solutions for mission critical systems. We are seeking a motivated career-driven scheduling professional to lead and support scheduling initiatives, including the development and management of program integrated master schedules. To be successful in this role, you will closely collaborate with program, technical and financial leaders and team members to enable data-based decisions that drive the best outcomes. You will also develop proposal plans and schedules, baseline execution schedules, maintain the in-work schedules, perform critical path analysis and what-if planning, and support the delivery of Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) Format 6 deliverables. A successful candidate will understand the importance of leadership and user experience in all aspects of government program schedules including production programs, development programs, agile software programs, and portfolio management to meet their organizational goals. You will participate in all aspects of IP&S activities and execute the following to provide actionable, value-added products to our customers: Program Planning – Develop initial planning products (e.g. IMP, WBS, Master Phasing Schedule, High-Level Flows) Program Scheduling – Develop and Maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) Detailed Scheduling & Change Management – Develop and maintain lower-level schedules. Change Integration – Manage baseline and forecast schedule changes Project Management – Lead key program initiatives to improve program execution

Requirements

  • This position requires an active TS/SCI U.S. Security Clearance and current Counterintelligence Polygraph (CIP) (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • Willingness to upgrade from CIP to FSP (Full Scope Polygraph) or already have a current Full Scope Polygraph (FSP)
  • 5+ years of experience in Program Planning, Scheduling and Integration
  • 3+ years of experience using MS Project as Integrated Scheduling tool
  • Experience with managing and analyzing resource loaded schedules
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
  • Experience preparing and presenting to executives, senior leadership, and external customers
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem solving skills
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • In charge of program Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Serve as the technical lead for IP&S in developing, integrating, and maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) reporting to the Program Management team
  • Work closely with Integrated Product Team Leads, IP&S team, and program leadership to ensure alignment and integration of the IMS with other key program plans and schedules such as the Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Master Phasing Plan, Critical Path Analysis, High-Level Flow (HLF) and detailed schedules below the IMS
  • Accountable for schedule compliance, assessment of schedule risk, identification of opportunities (including schedule margin planning), and providing robust/actionable performance reporting from the IMS to support and drive program management understanding and action
  • Lead integration of supplier and partner plans and schedules into the IMS to ensure the whole team is operating to the same rhythm and priorities
  • Model driving program execution through quick turn generation of prospective schedule performance analyses, recovery/alternate scenario planning, and improved schedule visibility/visualization
  • Support reviews and brief senior leadership
  • Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and leadership to lower-level employees
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the development, implementation, and training of processes and tools
