About The Position

Glumac, a Tetra Tech Company, is seeking a Senior Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer for its San Francisco, California office. The engineer will lead planning, design, development, and execution of instrumentation and control systems for advanced technology, semiconductor, and industrial manufacturing projects. The role includes producing engineering specifications, calculations, instrumentation documentation, control system architectures, and design deliverables, while providing technical oversight and guidance to designers and project teams. The successful candidate will own single-discipline and multidisciplinary engineering projects, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and provide technical recommendations so that control systems meet project requirements, applicable codes, industry standards, and client expectations. The position calls for extensive experience with industrial automation, PLCs, DCS, motor controls, and instrumentation design, and the ability to manage technical deliverables and support complex projects from concept through construction. This is a hybrid position requiring at least two days per week in the San Francisco office, with remote work available on the remaining days. Remote employees are expected to maintain a professional workspace, reliable internet connectivity, and secure access to company systems and project information. Work is generally performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Applicants must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available. The stated salary range is $170,000–$190,000, with actual compensation dependent on location, experience, responsibilities, and qualifications. The total compensation package also includes benefits, professional development opportunities, and additional incentives.
