About The Position
METCOR/LSI has a need for a Senior Instructional Designer to provide support and direction to a team of training professionals in the design, development, and delivery of training materials for federal employees. This is a full-time, remote role offering a long-term opportunity for growth within an established organization. METCOR/LSI maintains a drug-free work environment. All positions require the ability to pass a background investigation conducted by a federal government agency and a drug test. U.S. citizenship is required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) to include instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (VILT), and web-based training design and development
- 3+ years of experience leading small teams and interfacing with clients
- Experience with the ADDIE model of Instructional Systems Design
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and desire to learn and teach others
- High degree of adaptability and flexibility
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
- U.S. citizenship is required
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree in a related field or ISD certificate preferred
Responsibilities
- Leading and contributing to training analysis, design, development, coordination, delivery, and evaluation activities
- Designing and developing training materials (presentations, quick reference tools, instructor/participant guides, web-based training, etc.) on a variety of topics in a collaborative environment
- Contributing to the creation of project management plans and schedules
- Delegating to and leading small teams of Instructional Designers, Developers, Technical Writers, and Instructors
- Providing direction and feedback to teams and individuals to improve performance
- Providing quality control reviews of a variety of materials for peers or other team members
- Serving as a customer and subject matter (SME) liaison
- Researching and studying to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on a variety of topics
