This role is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and improving learning solutions to enhance commercial capability, expand product knowledge, and boost sales effectiveness. The Senior Instructional Designer will equip sales and customer-facing teams with the necessary knowledge, skills, tools, and confidence to effectively communicate value, support product adoption, and perform consistently in the market. The position involves close collaboration with Sales Leadership, Product Management, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify capability gaps and deliver targeted training and enablement solutions. Key focus areas include sales onboarding, product and portfolio training, launch readiness, sales messaging, consultative selling, objection handling, competitive positioning, and ongoing field development.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Business, Marketing, Communications, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field required
Minimum 5 years of experience in instructional design, sales training, product training, enablement, curriculum development, or related Learning & Development work.
Experience designing learning solutions for adult learners in corporate, commercial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device, life sciences, technical, or other regulated environments.
Organizational skills will enable planning, prioritization and achievement of goals especially of importance for the successful execution of related activities
Must maintain the ability to work well with others in a variety of situations
Must be able to multi-task, work under time constraints, problem solve, and prioritize
Ability to make independent and sound judgments
Observe and interpret situations, analyze and solve problems

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting sales, commercial, field, customer-facing, or other business-facing audiences preferred.
Strong experience with eLearning authoring tools (EasyGenerator & Articulate preferred) and digital learning technologies to design and develop engaging, high-quality training.
Strong knowledge of instructional design, adult learning principles, and curriculum development for role-based learning programs.
Ability to translate complex business, product, technical, clinical, and compliance information into clear, learner-centered content.
Experience using LMS data, assessments, certifications, and learner feedback to measure effectiveness and improve training outcomes.
Strong collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders, present recommendations, and maintain high-quality, audit-ready materials.

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to identify learning needs, performance gaps, and business goals.
Analyze learner and business needs to design effective training solutions.
Design and develop role-based learning for onboarding, product training, launches, and sales development.
Create key instructional materials, including objectives, storyboards, assessments, guides, and job aids.
Develop engaging learning across eLearning, instructor-led, virtual, blended, and scenario-based formats.
Translate complex technical, clinical, and commercial content into clear, practical training.
Support launch readiness with training plans, certification materials, and reinforcement tools.
Manage LMS content and measure training effectiveness to continuously improve learning outcomes.
