About The Position

The G. Brint Ryan College of Business is seeking a Senior Instructional Design Consultant to support the President's directive of embedding entrepreneurship across STEM-based programs campus-wide. This role will lead the development of modular, discipline-agnostic entrepreneurship content, including micro-credentialing pathways, asynchronous online modules, and accelerator-style experiential learning units. The consultant will also coordinate campus lecture engagements with the Director of Acceleration and Innovation to leverage the entrepreneurial community's involvement. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Key skills include knowledge of educational design principles, curriculum development, adult learning, strong writing and communication abilities, collaboration, analytical skills, project management, and educational assessment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, curriculum & instruction, professional development or a related field and five years of related experience in education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of and ability to implement principles of educational design, curriculum development, adult learning, writing skills, communication skills, collaboration mindset, analytical skills, project management, and educational assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Education, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of instructional design, curriculum development, or academic program management experience
  • Experience with startup/entrepreneurship content, accelerator programs, or venture methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across academic disciplines

Responsibilities

  • Partner with faculty in Engineering, Health Sciences, and other STEM disciplines to develop discipline-specific entrepreneurship modules.
  • Create 'plug-in' units that can be added to existing courses with minimal faculty lift.
  • Develop micro-credentialing pathways in partnership with the Academic Director.
  • Translate Gener8tor and other accelerator methodologies into credit-bearing course content.
  • Develop asynchronous and synchronous modules accessible to all UNT students regardless of major.
  • Continue core curriculum development for the Entrepreneurship Major in partnership with Academic Director.
  • Ensure alignment with updated faculty merit and workload criteria under Look North: UNT 2030.
  • Develop learning outcome frameworks and assessment tools for all entrepreneurship curricula.
  • Track student progression from courses into competitions, accelerators, and venture formation.
  • Coordinate with Director – Accelerators & Innovation on curriculum-program integration.
  • Participate in TUNIE and GCEC convenings to benchmark curriculum against peer institutions.
