Senior Insider Threat Investigator

Jabil
•$79,400 - $142,900

About The Position

The Insider Threat Investigator will contribute to the development, execution, and continuous improvement of Jabil’s global Insider Threat Program. The role identifies, assesses, investigates, and helps mitigate insider risks affecting people, intellectual property, sensitive information, facilities, technology, operations, and reputation. It applies a prevention-focused approach combining investigative skill, risk analysis, and business judgment in a global manufacturing environment, while protecting confidentiality, employee privacy, and investigative integrity. The investigator evaluates indicators of potential insider risk, conducts preliminary inquiries and assigned investigations, preserves evidence, and develops objective findings and recommendations. Matters may include intellectual property or trade secret theft, unauthorized disclosure, fraud, misuse of systems or data, cybersecurity incidents, conflicts of interest, foreign influence or elicitation concerns, and other conduct that could create material risk. The investigator gathers and analyzes information from authorized sources, reviews relevant records, conducts or supports interviews, identifies information gaps, and maintains accurate, defensible case documentation. In collaboration with cybersecurity and digital forensics analysts, the investigator obtains, interprets, and preserves technical evidence from security platforms, endpoint and network tools, access-control systems, audit logs, authentication records, and other authorized sources. The role distinguishes anomalous activity from legitimate business conduct by considering an employee’s role, access, context, risk indicators, and corroborating information. It conducts and supports risk assessments involving personnel, facilities, systems, data, supply chains, third parties, and operations; helps determine scope and potential impact; develops proportionate mitigation options; monitors corrective actions; and prepares reports, case summaries, trend analyses, metrics, and briefings. The investigator coordinates with internal functions and may support engagement with law enforcement, government agencies, outside counsel, or other external partners when directed. Work must comply with applicable law, privacy requirements, records-handling standards, and need-to-know controls. The investigator also supports program development through research, policy and procedure updates, reporting pathways, awareness and training materials, case-management practices, exercises, audit and compliance responses, and lessons learned. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for investigations, site reviews, training, audits, and stakeholder engagement.
