Senior Inpatient Case Manager/ Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Position
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an Senior Inpatient Case Manager/ Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week. The standard working hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST, Monday–Friday. This is an onsite position located at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, 600 Gresham Drive, Norfolk, VA 23507. The Senior, Inpatient Case Manager RN assumes responsibility, accountability, and leadership for the daily operations, including coordination of work, quality, and service for inpatient case management. They assist the supervisor for the assigned site/function, participate in the work activities of assigned teams, and provide case management services as needed. The role maintains fiscal accountability for departmental activities and provides feedback on hiring and evaluations of personnel. This position functions in a hospital setting only.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) REQUIRED
- Registered Nurse (RN) in VA or NC or Compact/Multi-state REQUIRED
- BLS within 90 days of hire.
- Case Management (ACM, CCM, CCCTM, CMAC, or CMGT-BC) certification is required within one year of eligibility.
- 3 years nursing experience REQUIRED
- 3 years Case Management experience preferred
