About The Position

OTTO Engineering is seeking a Senior Injection Mold Maker to join their Controls Division. This role is responsible for the fabrication of tooling for Injection Molding. OTTO Engineering designs and manufactures high quality, comprehensive solutions for demanding markets including medical, off-highway, and military/aerospace. Requirements

• Complete OTTO apprenticeship, or 5 to 10 years’ experience with Mold making/repair.
• Knowledgeable of injection molding tool design.
• Proficient with the use of CAD.
• Able to run CNC & EDM machines.
• Knowledgeable in the use of Surface Grinders and Mills.
• Blueprint reading skills.
• Sound inspection skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift 50Lbs.
• Must be available for overtime when needed.

Nice To Haves

• Thorough understanding of tool steels and production materials.
• Thorough understanding of Molding tool room equipment.
• Thorough knowledge of piece part inspection to quality specifications.
• Capable of working from blue prints and/or CAD models to construct, alter, or repair tooling.
• Basic understanding of operation of injection molding.

Responsibilities

• Keep a clean and safe work area.
• Fabrication of tooling of Injection Molding tooling.
• Maintaining and fabrication of molds for the molding department.
• Assist in preventative maintenance for molds in the molding department.
• Assist in the design of piece parts for manufacturability.
• Assist in ordering supplies in the molding tool room.
• Assist with communication of customers.
• Assist with on time delivery.
• Assist with other related duties as required or assigned.
