Requirements

High school education/GED
8+ years of related experience in tooling/manufacturing environment.
Experience with injection mold maintenance and repairs.
Solid understanding of the injection molding process.
Strong attention to detail and willing to listen and discuss in an open, positive manner.
Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited direct supervision.
Ability to work with quickly changing priorities and short deadlines.
Ability to successfully communicate with internal and external customers.
Experience with Hot Manifold systems Example: Mold Master, Manner, etc.

Responsibilities

Performs injection mold preventative maintenance and insert changes in support of production with diligence and accuracy.
Maintains accurate log of preventative maintenance and insert changes.
Identifies tooling deficiencies during preventative maintenance and notify Tooling Lead.
Participates in root-cause analysis of tooling breakage and/or damage to assess corrective actions.
Ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment always.
Leads creation, organization, and maintenance of TPI’s, including work instructions, photo- documentation, historical logging, and revision control.
Participates and lead tool room organization, including mold spare components, standard components (fasteners, pins, buy-outs).
Identifies and elevates tool, equipment, and other infrastructure needs to the Tooling Lead.
Provides support to production operations (Molding, Special Ops, Production) as needed or directed by supervisor.
