US Conec is seeking a skilled Senior Mold Maker to join our team in Fort Worth, TX. In this role, you’ll complete maintenance, changeover and occasional repairs to injection molding tools. Requirements

  • High school education/GED
  • 8+ years of related experience in tooling/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with injection mold maintenance and repairs.
  • Solid understanding of the injection molding process.
  • Strong attention to detail and willing to listen and discuss in an open, positive manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal relations and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to work with quickly changing priorities and short deadlines.
  • Ability to successfully communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Experience with Hot Manifold systems Example: Mold Master, Manner, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Performs injection mold preventative maintenance and insert changes in support of production with diligence and accuracy.
  • Maintains accurate log of preventative maintenance and insert changes.
  • Identifies tooling deficiencies during preventative maintenance and notify Tooling Lead.
  • Participates in root-cause analysis of tooling breakage and/or damage to assess corrective actions.
  • Ensures a clean, organized, and safe work environment always.
  • Leads creation, organization, and maintenance of TPI’s, including work instructions, photo- documentation, historical logging, and revision control.
  • Participates and lead tool room organization, including mold spare components, standard components (fasteners, pins, buy-outs).
  • Identifies and elevates tool, equipment, and other infrastructure needs to the Tooling Lead.
  • Provides support to production operations (Molding, Special Ops, Production) as needed or directed by supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
