About The Position

Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is seeking a highly skilled leader to oversee enterprise infrastructure operations across multiple properties. This role will lead infrastructure initiatives, manage user workspaces, enforce change and patch management, and collaborate with Helpdesk teams and IT system owners. The ideal candidate is a strategic, hands-on infrastructure leader with deep experience in enterprise data center and end-user computing environments, a strong technical problem-solver, an effective communicator, a proactive people leader, and a dependable, detail-oriented professional.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in infrastructure or data center management.
  • 2 years supervisory or leadership with leading a team.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with user profile management.
  • Proven experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar platforms.
  • Solid understanding of data center networking concepts and infrastructure security practices.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and develop the infrastructure team, establishing priorities, delegating work, and ensuring high performance against SLAs and service standards.
  • Lead and manage enterprise infrastructure operations across LHUO Campus sites, ensuring system availability, performance, and reliability.
  • Oversee and support the application environment, including troubleshooting user access and performance issues.
  • Administer user profile and workspace management solutions, including Ivanti User Workspace Management and group policy controls.
  • Collaborate closely with Helpdesk teams and IT system owners to support 24x7 hotel operations and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
  • Monitor and maintain data center environments, including servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and network components.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee infrastructure projects such as endpoint hardware and software upgrades (desktops, tablets, thin clients, smartphones).
  • Apply security patching, risk remediation, and system updates across application servers and infrastructure platforms.
  • Enforce change management processes for system upgrades, enhancements, and decommissioning activities.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, application, and network issues across all layers of the OSI model.
  • Manage and support both Windows and Linux operating systems in server and desktop environments.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure accuracy of technical documentation, standards, and operational guides.
  • Travel to LHUO Campus sites as needed to support infrastructure initiatives and resolve on-site issues.
  • Participate in an after-hours and on-call support rotation to ensure system availability and rapid incident response.
  • Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity off site data center.
  • Maintain reliability to support operational needs and perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.
