About The Position

Intel is seeking a senior, hands-on Infrastructure and DevOps Systems Engineer for its customer-facing engineering team. The role designs, deploys, automates, integrates, secures, and troubleshoots large-scale Linux, AI, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments, supporting product development, validation, and production workloads. Work spans operating systems, firmware, cluster management, software distribution, infrastructure automation, containerized environments, and AI-assisted development workflows. The engineer helps build scalable, reliable infrastructure that enables engineering teams to develop, validate, and deploy complex software and hardware platforms. The position involves collaborating across hardware, firmware, software, validation, security, and infrastructure teams. The ideal candidate combines Linux administration expertise with software development, automation, and distributed systems experience. Experience with large-scale HPC or AI environments, RPM repositories, Lmod modules, and modern AI development tools is desirable. The position is eligible for Intel’s hybrid work model, splitting time between an assigned Intel site and off-site. The primary location is Hillsboro, Oregon, with additional locations in Phoenix, Arizona; Folsom and Santa Clara, California; and Beaver Brook, Massachusetts. The stated annual salary range for U.S. locations is $100,550–$194,270; individual pay depends on work location and other factors, including skills, experience, and education or training. Intel offers competitive pay, stock bonuses, and health, retirement, and vacation benefit programs.
